The second painting for the Daycare. I wanted to show children turning one world into another by simply pretending it to be. Its the sort of thing that my siblings and I did all of the time without the help of computer games.

Did you ever read Pamela Dean's The Secret Country trilogy? I think you'd really like it--about 5 cousins whose secret made-up country comes to life!
ReplyDeleteI really like the light in this painting, and the boy standing on the prow of the boat. You can just imagine all the wonders he's seeing through that telescope!
